NA Update #6

Dear Friends & Family,
The team is doing great! We would like to ask for you to pray for them as they travel back tomorrow in the early hours. Because of time we were not able to get an email from them tonight but I did hear from them via text and today was spent doing some final debriefing and encouragement with the national team. Please join us in prayer for the following:

1. Safety as each team member travels back to Louisville ( BB headquarters) before flying home Sunday morning to their home locations.
2. Christ would continue the work He began in the lives of each team member, the national team, as well as every mslm that was exposed to Truth.
3. Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional healing for each patient that was seen in the clinics.
4. The spiritual stronghold of Islam would fall and the veil of darkness would be lifted from over the hearts of Christ's elect in the land.

God Bless each and everyone of you for your willingness to pray. Saints bowing their knees to the Father is always the foundation for every great move of God. Thank you for bowing your knees this week that Christ might be most glorified through this team.

Dear Friends & Family,
Things are going very well here. We have been busy like a lightening trip. Everyone has enjoyed getting to know one another ( National team and BB team)and the team is doing a great job. Team time has been great with our time of worship and study.

Today we did a 1/2 day of tourism- the usual camels & pyramids and such...-- But we also got a chance to do some prayer walking around some significant strongholds in the country. This evening we were able to go out again and meet with our new Mslm friends. God has been good to allow us to meet many seekers on this short venture. Again we were really tired after a long day and had a late late dinner. But everyone is encouraged! Nothing like being worn out for the work and purpose of the Lord.

Everything is going well. No one is sick or feeling bad. PTL! I will try to email tomorrow, but may not have a chance until we arrive home.- JCN BB Rep

1. The team to have continued endurance for the remainder of time in country.

2. That Christ would finish the work He has began in the hearts of the Mslm seekers the team members have been able to meet with one on one.

3. That the prayers echoed in the dark corners of this nation would expose the lies of Islam and break the stronghold of unbelief that rests over the Land.

4. Christ would be glorified in these final hours and continue to show Himself faithful and real to the BB & National team - as well as, the Mslm Seekers.

5. Christ would bring healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually to the patients the team members have been seeing in each of the clinics.

Today was really good and busy all day long. We started out the day with team time this morning, which was really good to spend together in Praise and.Worship... and Prayer for our team as we then went to the big shopping center looking for those vital relationships with Mslms.. We had a good time meeting new "friends" and spent several hours there. The girls met several other ladies and really had a good time with the nuggets of Truth they were able to share in their conversations. They were really excited. The guys also made a few new friendships and had a great time interacting with them.
After a busy morning and afternoon we then loaded up in the van and went to what they call here " Trash City" to love on the people and care for the sick. We had a clinic for like 3 or 4 hours. I did a talk on Diabetes and one of the girls (J) shared her testimony. She did a really good job! I saw a man that had cancer in his neck that had spread to his lungs. We all gathered, laid hands on him and prayed for his healing. When we finally got back we ate a very late dinner and are all very tired. The team is really holding up well. They have such good attitudes and are really servants.

1. The new Mslm relationships that each team member is being able to make. Pray the Lord continues to provide opportunities for them to share His love and His truth.

2. The patients at "Trash City"- That Christ would be their Healer. Pray His glory would shine forth in the midst of such poverty and that His power would be displayed in their weakness.

3. The man with lung cancer that is dying. Pray Christ would use the prayers of the team and the Truth spoken over him to quicken his heart to the truth of Jesus Christ.

4. Pray the Lord would continue to give strength and endurance to each team member as the continue a full schedule for the rest of the week.

NA Update #3

Dear Friends and Family,

The team had a full day today with Clinics and training. Internet problems have made it difficult for them to get an update email into our office but I was able to speak with the team leader earlier today and he shared that everyone was doing well and really enjoying themselves. I also spoke with our country contact HK and he gave raving reports on the team saying they were a "breath of fresh air and were displaying servants hearts and attitudes!" We praise God for this report. It is always our prayer that any team we send out is more a blessing than a burden to our fellow missionaries.

Please join us in prayer for the following:

1. That each team member would continue to be a model of Christ's servant hood to the national team

2. That Christ would continue to provide stamina and good heath and minimize the effects of jet-lag

3. The Lord would go before each team member daily and prepare the hearts of those they will interact with in clinics and Mslm relationship opportunities.

4. Christ would set up divine encounters with Mslms that are in search of Truth.

5. Christ would grant dreams and visions to seekers in the Land and arrange encounters with our team members.

6. That is each Clinic, Christ might be glorified and opportunities might be made for our team members to share not only the hands of Christ but His words.

NA Update #2

Dear Friends & Family,

Update #2 ( revised version of field Update)

Everyone is doing really well and it is has been fun for everyone to get a chance to know one another. The entire team seems to be enjoying themselves in the country and having a great time. I will try to email you daily, if possible, but the only problem is that HK has to take the email to a café to send off, since internet is not possible and phone texting is limited to 120 characters. Yesterday we arrived late after being picked up by our local friend. We basically arrived together , the two teams, due to our delays in travel. We arrived to a farewell party and had fun getting to know each other and the new people from the other teams that have been serving here. We woke up this am and had personal devotions and quiet time and ate breakfast then went to the "Health Carnival" ( Mobile Medical Clinic), a clinic for poor women and widows and children, everyone really enjoyed this and we had lots of opportunity to pray with the women and children; we came home and the team was excited that they got to do ‘medicine’ and get out and meet people. Tonight we went to the local Mslm park and prayer walked and tried to build some first friendships. The girls & guys split up and the girls met a woman and her two young daughters and were able to make their first contact with a Mslm. They were really excited about this. The guys prayed and met some Mslm of our own. We had a good time making these new vital relationships.

Sunday—The Team arrived after a day and a half of intense travel to this North Africa nation, excited about the what lay ahead. They really enjoyed getting to know one another as we ate a late (eleven oclock ) dinner. ---Please pray we continue to allow Christ to unite our hearts as we serve this week.

Monday—The team went to Health carnival for widows and poor women and children; in the evening we went to park where we met some Mslms for the first time and prayer walked this dark area. --Please pray for these new Mslms friends- that Christ would give us opportunity to share His love and His heart for them. Also for the patients in the clinic. Many have nothing and only Christ can meet their true needs. Pray Christ would continue to give us opportunity to share with them, but that He would continue the work He started at the Clinic.

Tomorrow, we plan on going to a different Health Carnival ( mobile medical clinic) again, after some morning team time and then some Mslm training ( All the How too's in this culture) by HK. --Pray for this clinic that Christ would glorify Himself during this time and draw hearts to Himself. Pray we would be humble servants and show & share the love of Christ with all we meet. Pray also that our bodies are revived and that we absorb all the training well.

Everything is going well, Everyone is in good health . I will try contact you tomorrow, if possible.

Training went extremely well. Thank you for all the prayers during
this time. Every team member joined together in a spirit of unity
asking Christ to bring Himself great glory this next week.

Right now the team is en- route to country. There have already been a
few delays.

Favor with airlines and custom officials

Rest and renewal as they arrive and begin a busy schedule

Christ would touch their bodies and lessen the effect of jet-lag

A servant attitude toward the national team

The distribution teams had a successful week of placing literature all around various cities in this North African nation. More stories will follow in the days ahead as each one makes it home safely and is able to share more openly about all the adventures the Lord took them on as they followed the leading of the Holy Spirit. Thank you to all who prayed with us for the team members and we ask you to continue to pray that the literature left behind will make it into the hands of the Seekers in the land. May God Bless you!

Well the second group of distributors have arrived and are off and on their way to plastering cities with christian literature from new testaments, scripture booklets, and stickers with the local christian satellite station being broad casted into the country.

We praise God because when the second group came through customs - not one piece of literature was discovered and they went through without any trouble. God is good! Thank you for praying!!!

We're in .E-city.and found a great place to stay and its a lot more relaxed than M- city. C-ity went really fast and we got a lot of fruit out.

But then last night we rally saw the Lord keep us through those praying. Sufficeit to say, a young boy saw us and brought it to his dad the storekeeper. They both came and confronted us at the next shop we were at,and that man had a white hat so he was pretty mad.

We said it wasn't ours and insisted it couldn't be since we cant read arabic. I apologized that such a thing would happen, so the man took it to tear it up and said fine. We wandered through the market for awhile making sure we were in the clean, then hung out in a cafe, and eventually went back to the hotel.

After this we decided to move on. The atmosphere is just really intense there, and there are way too many shop keepers per shop.

So we got on a bus and headed here. It's been a good afternoon. Not the numbers as before, but we remember that each one is important.

Distribution for the Glory of Christ

Well we finally made it home from our North Africa venture of Distribution. We would like to thank those that prayed so faithfully for us. Customs was a breeze, not even one check or stall. Travel was more difficult with lots of delays and frustrating changes & luggage damaged, but God was gracious and gave us strength to endure.

During the week we had lots of opportunities on trains, taxis. restaurants, M houses, Markets and other strategic places to drop Christian material all over this Muslim land. God is always good to direct our steps and make the impossible possible. Please continue to pray as we have more teams going in over the next few weeks to continue plastering the cities with literature, stickers and Bibles for the glory of Christ.

Final Moments

Please yarp for our dear friends that still many have not seen though they have heard and others who may never hear as we we heard but still hold a strong account before the One we all know and love.

Our heart is for the Boss to continue marketing those we have had the privilege to meet and that He would raise new & more workers for his Business in this land. Also we ask for you to think about those who are apart of our corporation that maybe you have never met. Many taking much lower salaries and enduring hardships for the cause of the business. Counting the days...

Time is getting shorter by the moment and news from inside has slowed down activities for a small while. Please be yarping that our good Boss would open unique moments of interest with our new m friends. Yarp that our steps would be directed to the right places and to the right people for business opportunities that will have a lasting impact. Yarp that as we gather our hearts would be stirred to think so seriously about this place and that we would find ourselves expressing the right words to the Boss and that His Business would come in this place, just as it is in His country.

We have made lots of m friends and are still hunting for more. We are trying to encourage our fellow business men here with good words and with lots of love. May our final moments count big and not a second lost.

We are so thankful for all of those that are walking with us even though you are not here. We are held strong by your thoughts as you gather and depend so much on knowing talk is going on we cannot hear but our Boss can.

Everyone is doing well and anticipating these last few days of Business. --May our Boss's Business shine so bright that it literally awakens His purpose in the lives around us.

Giving it away...

The word for the last few days could be described as INTENSE... Business is heavy with meetings and when business meeting are not happening we have had the privilage to do some covert advertising. Everyone has scattered in diverse directions and plastered areas with significant information about how they can become involved in the Business. Everyone has had a lot of fun and a small amount of nervousness --at times, doing this and has made for a good change in routine. Please be thinking about this form of advertising and who it might reach. That the ads would speak loud to the heart and lift any misunderstanding from their minds. please yarp for the Business meetings that are happening daily, that our clients would be moved closer and closer to a final purcahse agreeement.

Relationships....

The days are getting heavy as each of us are forming more and more relationships of significance. Hunting and Yarping is a constant right now with serving physical needs in between. Please keep the teams in your thoughts as we move toward our final time in the country. Many have had numerous opportunities to be an expression of that sweet aroma to those who have never had a nose to smell such gracious scents.

The last couple of days we have had unique times of meditation in M houses that were designed to let the veiled express their pr ai se. It has been intense as we enter in yarping to our Big Boss and see them bo wing to theirs.... But our Boss is sooooooooooo much Bigger than anything they can imagine. We are asking for them to go to sleep and have lots of dreams or in their imagination a vision that helps them see what we see and have what we have. But we know all is perfect in the plan our Good Boss has laid out for those that are already to come into His company.

We have done some sightseeing as well a couple days ago and it was all good. But business is the main thing and so we will continue to form those relationships to promote the Good W ord we have already been given.

Please think about us and our new friends. That they may have the same excitement and inner stillness that comes when you find such satisfaction with your Employer. Please also think about us when you gather with your friends once or twice a week, that our time would be maximized and all walls that might separate would vanish.

Everyone is having a great time and discovering so much within themselves and outside themselves as they are challenged by their new friends. We hope you will be reminded to think about how much we need to learn and grow for better moments of conversation that lead to topics that words cannot express but hearts can understand.

Hunting & Fishing

The last couple nights many had the opportunity to hunt and fish for
M's. It was a wonderful time that so many of them came back and
already felt the Boss had given them unique opportunities to cast the
rod of the gspl. Others joined in a clinic that served the sud ane se
community in this na nation. Intense is the word being used to
describe the hour at hand. Time is fleeting and opportunities are
passing by every moment. please yarp ( think backwards for that one)
for us daily as we continue to look for those unique opportunities
when the fish are biting and the hunt is just down and dirty

One story

Tonight we heard the story well not just a story but for the sake of
where I write I will say a story. As one former M who is now a C
shared his story of coming to our Boss, He came out of a life of lots
of wrong things that hurt and even ended so many C lives for the sake
of his way of life as a M.
He has now been discovered by the law of land that he is a C who was a
former M. He told how he goes to the Big House too often and gets
lots of suffering because of his new life as a C.
He also shared how through Internet chat he is having the opportunity
to share with many more M's who are now C's. He told one story of a
man in a country I cannot name who began listening to satellite radio.
While listening he was brought to a place where the HS really began to
move in his life and draw him to the Boss. He changed his life through
the teaching on this radio and began to write down all the references
to our Book that was broad casted on it. For quite some time he has
been writing these references till he has almost our entire Book. As
our friend was chatting with him online he asked him what do you need?
This man replied i dream of one day having your Book. Our friend said
you do have our Book, you write verses from it all the time in email?
The man replied no these verses are only what I get from radio, I do
not own the Book and can only dream to have a full hard copy of my
own...
how much do we appreciate all we have in free places? We are so
blessed by the Boss and often we take so much for granted.

please join us in thoughts for our friend J. who lives in constant
time of hardship because he follows the Way. Think of him as you talk
to the Boss and think about his family when he goes to the big house
so often because of his decision to follow.

Our team is doing so well and having lots of time to meet new m
friends. Think of us as you gather and may The Way become so clear to
those that have such a veil.

Hunting for His Glory

The last couple and the next few days will be spent in some intense times of Hunting... The Good ol Book says we are to be fishers of men. So in our pursuit of representing the business this side of the world we go on hunting trips with the cheif aim of catching a few M background fish that we can invest some quality time sharing the joy of our business.

Yesterday many of us went hunting in a large metro area and found a few nibbles at our bait. So today we will do some follow up and continue to explore the ocean of opportunities. During these hunting trips we will also be plastering the area with written ideas from the Book we love so much.

Please think about us continually as you go throughout your day. The time is short and the days are dark. Many of our fellow freinds have no eyes to see nor ears to hear the Good story we love to share. But in a moment we believe this can change as the One we follow would choose to make clear their path and give them hearts to see what eyes cannot and hear what ears cannot. Your thoughts go far beyond one nation or land, but to a place that reaches higher than the skies and can make even the faint heart grow strong as they are heard by our Father.

Clinics

Late last night after a small time of rest after arrival business began. Everyone grabbed their water bottle and headed for the van. Dust flying all around and the blazing sun upon us we headed to the city of trash to serve the people physically & spiritually. Everyone found a role whether examining patients, painting areas of the center or speaking to the adults & youth about our Boss. It was an intense time of serving and just plain ol getting your hands dirty for the cause of JC.

While the clinics were going a few of the girls from the BTV team took a late train up country to hold a women's conference and do some needed mentoring to new sisters. Please continue to think about us and the business the boss is allowing us to participate in. it is a privilege to be of use for his plan & purpose. ... BB staff

Lots of Travel

The girls have been travelling quite a bit so updates are slim. But everone is doing well and getting ready ro receive the second BB team that will join with them and expand the medical side of ministry. Please pray for favor as this new team arrives and goes through customs. But we also ask that the Lord would grant a spirit of unity between the teams. Travelling....BTV Update # 8

We got back last night from the northern city. It was a really good trip. Sunday was a conference for pstr's wives. We taught on nutrition, women's health and breast exams, and cpr and choking for adults and infants. We tag team teach each of those, and the girls are getting really get at being flexible and teaching whatever we need on demand!

The women at the conference loved it, and they were so energetic. Today we are resting,laundry, repacking, and spent a lot of time in pryr.This evening we leave for the sea for 3 days. We are going to do hunting and other business stuff. Will give a full report when return...

Stories from the Field ...BTV Update # 7

The team is doing great. Everyone is healthy and loving the work. We do all miss you, so know that your ladies are thinking about you and praying for you too!

This week we started a class for the Sudanese on First Aid, CPR, and the basics of nursing. We've taught two classes already and its going to be a weekly class. The team did a great job preparing and teaching, and we love our students. We have around 15 Sudanese attending, about half and half, men to women. They are so eager to learn. We are really proud to see them equipped and encouraged to become servants and examples in their community. And also the class provides a lot of opportunities to talk about healing and where it really comes from. Ask that we would be equipped as teaching, the Sudanese would be eager learners, and that the HS would guide every discussion.

We're still keeping up the clinics and going out to meet people on a regular basis. Here are some specific stories that the ladies wrote about people they met that they would like you to pray for......BB Staff

Stories for Specific PRAYER

Her name is Abar. She is an M who works in a dress shop in the mall that specializes in Belly Dancing. She speaks minimal English. Jill and I met her on our first trip out, and she actually called Jill and I into her shop. And we began talking, mainly through gestures about where we were from, how long will we be in NA, were we sisters or not. But we were in there for about an hour communicating that way. In the midst of that time she offered us a hard-boiled egg sandwich. First she just handed us a hard boiled egg and we didn’t know what to do with it! But then she came back with a pita and we proceeded to make the sandwiches. Poor Jill wasn’t hungry and doesn’t even like eggs, but she ate it anyway!

We talked about singleness, and she was excited that we were single too. She was the first woman we have met that seemed proud to be a single. We came to the shop again on another day. We had a great time trying on some gowns (not the belly dancing outfits, mind you!) And it seemed like dad totally removed the communication barrier. And in the midst of the time there we seemed to establish relationships with all of the store clerks, including some who speak very good English. We are going back today and hope to establish more of who we are. And it has just so happened that no one has ever come into the store while we are there. Pray that dad will appoint more times for us to meet with her and share.- Lori.....

Her name is Sahara. She is 26 years old and she has a 6-year-old daughter. I met her in the mall. She had been divorced so she was a single mom living with her parents. We did not really talk about her personal story, but you could tell she felt really inferior and probably has a lot of emotional scars from the divorce (women do not choose to divorce here, their husband’s divorce them). We were invited by her to have dinner at her family’s house. We talked a lot with her sister and her dad. They were both teachers in a school. He talked mainly about his son and how proud he was to have him off at the university. We could tell Sahara must feel a lot of shame and guilt from her family. Since I met her I have been praying for her everyday. I really believe that no one we have met has been by coincidence, but we were meant to meet them. Her father did ask us if we were Cs and we told him yes. We have not shared much about that yet, but they know we are Cs and we have started a relationship, so we pray for more opportunities to meet with them.-Youngsil.....

Her name is Nagla. She lives in the neighborhood near our house. The first time I meet her, even though she could not speak very well she invited me into her house and showed me all of her family pictures and gave me so many presents and talked about how she is going to get married next year. Last time when we passed by their house she introduced us to her fiancé. So I have been praying for both of them. I hope he is nice, but I didn’t feel he is a nice man. Also, because she lives in our neighborhood and is Muslim, it dangerous to have her know about our work. So I don’t feel I should go to their house again, but I’m just praying for some way to keep building a relationship with her.- Youngsil.....

Hannah I met one time in the mall. We were just waiting for our last friend to come out of a shop and sat down on bench next to her. We started talking and she showed me pictures on her mobile, and I saw her without her veil on. She is getting married soon, and I just really enjoyed talking with her. When we got up to leave she told me, “I will never forget you.” And ever since I have been feeling that dad wants me to remember her and pray for her too. We’ve been singing about how dad can move a mountain. And if we just have a little bit of faith, I really believe he can move a mountain. I don’t know that I’ll ever see her again, but he wanted me to meet her and pray for him to move a mountainin regards to her. - Youngsil.....

We were at a city literally of trash and there was a woman laying in the clinic. I didn’t know her story, I didn’t know what was wrong with her, but we continued through the day getting the work done that was needed. She just lay there surrounded by her family. They were fanning her, and she looked weak and in pain and hot. And at the end of the day HK said we would give her the medicine and send her home. And I ask if I could join him. So he took me in and explained the situation to me and we helped her get up from the bed and I asked if she had been prayed for and HK shook his head no, and said, “Go ahead and pray for her, but just use a few words.” And instantly a twinge of fear hit me when he said to use few words. But I prayed softly and asked in the name of Jesus that she would be healed. And then her family led her away and I asked RL if that family was Muslim, and she said yes. That night we were having praise and worship on our rooftop, and we were told to picture a face that we had seen that day. And that women’s face came to my mind. Then we were told to picture that face standing beside us singing Amazing Grace. And there she was in my mind, standing beside me and singing praise to our father. And then after praise and worship HK said that he got a phone call that she was completely fine and had been healed. And dad has just given me the confidence that we will be beside her praising our him one day. And the only thing there is that could have healed her is his name.- Jenna

Memorable Moments of Prayer Update # 6

I think the most memorable moment this week was last Friday at noon. All
the surrounding minarets were sounding the call to prayer. And we heard our own call to prayer and went to the roof. Our voices rose as the noise grew, and continued long after it became silent. We cried out on behalf of our nation, of those needing healing, of those needing courage and protection, and just to give praise.

Everything we had been doing and every conversation with the people here didn't feel complete until we lifted it up that afternoon. We are broken for these people and confident of the healing, completion, and joy we have through Him.

We have been learning and discussing about the status of the women in
this country under the current way of life. We were asked, "What insecurities do you think the current system might give them? "And the unanamous response was, "What securities does it leave them?" On the other hand, because of the same system, the women appear friendly,
cheerful, open, and giving.

We have gone several times to the local mall to meet people, and all of us have at least one woman that we have befriended and repeatedly visit. These women retailers are all so precious and all so different. Some speak very little English but are so excited by our visit and insist on
sharing food together. We've been invited to several upcoming weddings. One lady was very educated and very aggressive with talking to us. She has gotten to hear some truth and we pray that it grows in her heart.

The clinics are going well. It's such an encouragement to have so many hands to help. This week we have a gynacologist visiting us, so we get to assist him and lift up the ladies as he treats them. The clinics are an incredible opportunity to let our light be seen and effect other people. Please lift this work up!

I can't tell you how many hours the six of us ladies have spent talking together, laughing together, and praying together. Ask that Dad would use our unity as an example and encouragement to the women here, and that He would use even more as his hands and feet in each other's lives.

Today we got the good news that everyone is feeling better and the NA bug has passed. Thank you Jesus! Also we want to thank all of those who prayed especially for the girls during this time of sickness.

Since everyone is better and doing well they will be ministering in a widows clinic the next few days as well as continuing building those vital relationships with M women. Please continue to pray for their stamina and that their spirits would be encouraged as they continue to labor in a very dark nation. They enemy is doing all he can to stop or disable this team from being most effective, so prayer is vital...

Getting enculturated...Update # 3

Well we got the report from the girls today that they have gotten the NA bug. So please be praying for them as they adjust to new water and food. ( Side note to parents-- they are all fine, just getting enculturated) Good news is we have the Great Physician there to meet every need as well as his little helper ( our contact in country who is an American Trained Family Doc) soooo, lets pray and thank God that they are adjusting as rough as it is sometimes when you visit a new place, and they are getting to share a small bit " in the fellowship of His sufferings" for the glory of God. Nothing makes you a better missionary than learning to depend on Christ in a foreign land. Also nothing witnesses to those around you more than seeing you go through hardship but remain faithful. So lets ask the Lord to use this trial to draw M people to Himself. May He get all the glory in every circumstance....

June BTV update #1

The girls are doing well. Been working full time. Everything was finepicking them up the first day. They were tired of course, and slept 11hours that night (midnight to 11am) and I haven't seen any jet-lag since.

On Sunday, after sleeping in, we spent two hours sharing testimonies,praying for each other, and generally getting to know each other. Then Nick and I started the teaching with Eslam 101&2 and language 101. Then we walked around the neighborhood that evening and p-walked and practiced the language they had just learned. Monday they rest of the group went hunting, and one of the girls came with me and the two-pregnant moms on the other team to do a nutrition seminar for the Sudnese women. She did a great job. The ladies really enjoyed the hunting and getting emersed in the culture. Tuesday morning we went to a ladies meeting that meets in our neighborhood every Tuesday. We're going to go every week and hopefully start making some house visits from the ladies we meet there. In the afternoon we did the Sudnese health carnival. The girls was so excited about that. They got to help Hk in the pharmacy, examine a lot ofpatients, yarp with them.

Today is more traning, some yarp time, and then we're going to do aclinic on the mountain this evening.

1. The ladies we are meeting in the home visits that opportunity would be created to make depsotis of truth in our conversations.

2. God would grant us favor as we go out and meet new women and form new relationships.

North Africa Bible Smuggling

Just wanted to let everyone know that our teams made it safely into NA earlier this week! Flights went smooth and only 3 didn't receive luggage. Please be in prayer that as they go to pick up the luggage from the airport, when it arrives, that custom eyes would be blinded to the Christian literature inside.

Still the Lost luggage has not deterred the mission. Christian Bibles and literature along with Sat 7 stickers of Christian satellite broadcasts are being placed all over the country. Continue to pray that the Lord gives these teams favor and discernment as they walk in obedience to the Spirit in this Land.

Prayer Concern Update

Dear Friends and Family,
We would like to thank you for your response to the prayer need for our brothers in the Middle East a couple of weeks ago. It has taken some time to get a accurate report back, but everyone is doing fine from the accident and have many testimonies of God’s provision! Your prayers are so vital in those critical moments when things are just developing. We have no doubt that as faithful Saints bow their knees to the Father that our Father bends His ears from Heaven in response.

Our Brother Marco was released from jail without any complications and without having to do any bribes! PTL! He expressed a desire to “wait upon the Lord” for His defense. The Lord faithfully gave him favor with authorities and he was released without any problems.

Our sisters Suzy, Mary & Helen, were all given the chance to minister specifically to the police from the scene of the accident. In fact, they went back to this city after being released to speak more with their new Muslim “police” friends about the gospel. AMAZING! It is amazing how God turns something so scary and potentially tragic into a moment of crisis of belief and opens a unique door to shine His glory in the face of those perishing! We serve a wonderful Savior!!!

We do ask for you to continue to pray for God’s provision for our brothers and sisters in this region of the world. They have to now replace the car that was totaled to be able to continue ministry. Also pray for the 2 police officers that the ladies were able to share the gospel with, that God would unveil their eyes to Truth and quicken them to Himself.

Breaking Borders just sent a 1 year missionary into this region a few days ago to serve these ladies and continue some vital work in women’s ministry that has been developing in the country the last couple of years. Please pray for Rachel as well, as she adjusts and begins her journey of serving in the Muslim world.

Dear Friends & Family,
Joel and I would like to thank you for your prayers this summer on behalf of Breaking Borders. We had several teams in North Africa and the Middle East that were dependant on those back home bowing their knees to the Father on their behalf. God did so many extraordinary things this summer! From the Mountains of a forgotten people in North Africa to the persecuted of the Middle East onto the Refugee camps in the middle of the desert—God was glorified!

Just two days ago Joel and I returned from a 9 day journey into the desert lands of North Africa inside some of the most devastating refugee camps we have ever entered. God gave us incredible opportunity and favor with the government and leaders to go about the camps and discover how Breaking Borders can be apart medically & spiritually. We would like to thank those that prayed for us while we were in the camps.

It was intense with heat of around 120-125 degrees a day with most days without electricity, running water, or AC. But we discovered God is at work in the desert. This people is 100% Islamic but we sensed a very unique and divine opportunity inside the camps. We would like to ask for additional prayer as we seek the Lord how we can be most effective in mobilizing the right medical professionals and godly believers to respond to the physical and spiritual needs of these peoples.

While in the camps as we evaluated the medical situation God impressed our hearts to prayer walk throughout the camps as we moved. As we prayed we began seeing the Lord give us divine moments with our translator to share stories from the Old Testament and even into the New Testament about Christ. Please pray for “Babba”. He is a devout Muslim, but has lots of questions about Christianity. We had to be so careful with our words as we talked with him, but it amazed us that the more sensitive we tried to be the more direct Babba’s questions came to us about our faith. God is so good to direct conversation and open doors to express his love in word & deed.

We would also like to request for you to continue praying for those our teams left behind in North Africa and the Middle East. Many relationships were built this summer that will continue via e-mail with our team members and their muslim friends. Pray God would continue to give our team members opportunity to share the Truth of Jesus Christ as they continue corresponding. Also pray for those that came to know Christ this summer. That God would grow them and mature them in their new faith in Christ. Lastly we ask for you to not forget our suffering brothers and sisters in these lands. Many carry chains from family & culture and the oppression of the government that make it difficult to be a Christian. Pray God would grant them grace to stand bold with their faith and to not give up in times of suffering.

Again, we covet your prayers and thank you for joining us the last couple of months in spiritual battles that can only be won when an army of believers join together on their knees.

Final Update...

The Boss has been good and there are lots of stories to share about how He has moved and worked this summer. One in particular that has been developing needs lot of specific prayer. An Imam (Islamic Priest) that we have been meeting with and talking had a vision two days ago. In His vision he found himself screaming “ I have no guarantee, I must have a guarantee” Please pray as we continue to talk with him that the Boss will spread His word across his heart and quicken Him to Truth. His name is Mohammad

PLEASE PRAY:
1. Pray for the 3 teams that are here and getting ready to depart. Pray for traveling mercies and grace through immigration.

2. Pray for the literature that has been distributed across the city, that it would be received by those the Boss would desire!

3. Pray for the M contacts that our teams have been meeting all summer. That the Boss would continue what He has started

4. Pray for our brothers and sisters who continue to work & live here under lots of difficult circumstances. May the Boss continue to provide, protect, and grant them favor to be all He has called them to be.

Creative Distribution

The last couple of days have been exciting as team members are continuing to build relationships with their M friends. We have had a good chance also during this time to do some major distribution across the city. It has been pretty intense at times, but the teams have had a lot of fun finding creative ways to get the C literature into people’s hands. We would love to share some specific stories concerning this but for security reasons we need to wait till the teams are home for these reports. But please be in prayer for what has gone out. Literally hundreds of materials are now floating the streets or in the homes of M people across the nation.

We also have had our final group arrive today. Please pray for them as they try to adjust to a short stay they have on country. Lots of opportunities have been put in place for the to maximize their time and give our Boss lots of praise.

Today we were in BTG all morning and afternoon with about 16 nationalities. The Boss arranged for our group to be apart of taking the principals they have learned the last few weeks and pass them on to others that are coming here for the first time. It was a high profile meeting and we were really praying there would be no complications. PTL,… It all went smooth and the. Boss really received a lot of attention from this kind of meeting.

Please pray as we have arranged also some very special meetings with our suffering brothers and sisters over the next few days. Please for their safety as they meet with us and for grace to keep them in this difficult time. Also be in prayer for one MBB brother (D.H) that was suppose to meet us tonight but is having some major health problems. Our medical team will be visiting him tonight to see how we can most serve his needs

A Sweet Aroma

As time grows shorter for our trip many team members are rushing to make those final connections with the M relationships they have been building all summer. Many have incredible stories of how the Boss has steered their conversations to enable them to share the good news of JC. Please keep each of these contacts in prayer. For many this is their first true exposure to the C belief system. Many have never had a C friend or even discussed their beliefs with anyone other than a M.

The last few days we have had the opportunity to meet with contacts but also to visit a cerebral palsy orphanage. At this orphanage the team was able to share the love that rest so deep inside them. They sang songs, examined children, and just prayed over the many needs. It was a sweet time of being the aroma of C in a place where the atmosphere was dark and sad. Please pray for these children. Adoption is illegal in the country. So they will never be given a true home with a family except for the one they might have when they exit this life. Pray the Boss will send people to them to share the good news and be an expression of the truth found only in JC.

The life of one Sudanese who gave all to remain true to JC

Today as we were seeing patients in the clinic we met a woman we would like you to hear her testimony and pray for her & her family.

M -Arab troops in Juba took her and her husband and 5 children to a prison to be tortured because they were C’s. In prison they tied the mother up and had her laying on the ground. They then took her husband and decapitated him while she layed there and watched. His head was placed in front of her to tell her she must convert to the M belief or the same would happen to her. They then began kicking her in the stomach on the ground. She was 6 months pregnant at the time. Within hours during the torture & kicking she miscarried the baby while still laying on the prison ground. She said she saw no blood only her baby dead in front of her.

The M troops then brought in 2 of her sons on week later, They killed these two sons in front of her again trying to get her to renounce her love for JC. Miraculously 2 weeks after this she was able to escape with her 3 remaining children & 1 child of whom she took with her because her parents had been killed in the prison. She fled to the UN and was granted refugee status in the country we are in. This beautiful woman came to our clinic this week. It gave a new meaning to the scripture that says, “Weep with those who weep…” Our team members surrounded her in love and wept, even sobbed with her, while she shared her heart. Who could imagine a heart could be carrying such incredible wounds. This day we did more than treat just a physical pain, but JC allowed us to embrace a family member and share in her sufferings.

Please pray for (Ver) and her remaining children.

Pray the Boss gives her unspeakable joy in her walk with him

Pray all her needs will be met and that JC would continue to be her source for life.

Pray for others like Ver who have walked a path of suffering and continue to stay true to the Boss in the midst

Healing Brings Hope

In the last few days several great reports have come forth. We received news from our friend Alex that while we were in his city that 26 people came to saving faith.

Along with this one man (Shad) gave up a lifestyle of addiction and another man ( Mic) broke a significant relationship with a M woman that made them very unequally yokes. PTL!

But the news gets even more exciting; a couple of weeks ago reported with the Barbie Doll team that a man was miraculously healed when the girls went to the home of a M family. This man had suffered a severe stroke and spent weeks in the ICU. He was carried by a wooden plank out of the hospital to his home to remain in this condition. The prognosis was very bad. He was only in his 40’s with a new wife that became pregnant right after their wedding. Hope was fading so much for this family. But our girls prayed for this man, and God miraculously touched his body. The girls did not know this till this man (J) showed up at a clinic a week later. They were all astounded. But even more than this, him and his wife have received JC and are now going to be dunked in lots of water to show their new commitment to JC. This was a M family that is now C. This is HUGE!!!!

Please Pray:
Pray for our new family in Alex’s town who have committed their lives to JC

Pray for Shad & Mic who have made some major decisions in their life to put JC above their own desires. Pray the Boss gives them great perseverance to withstand the temp to go back to their old ways.

Pray for this new MBB family who have seen the Boss do what He is so good at doing in making his Name great in their home. Pray they do not shrink back in fear as the cost to follow grows more difficult as they go public with their Good News.

Dear Friends & Family,
The last few days have been exciting for everyone on the teams. We have been traveling and doing conferences and building relationships with our M friends.

In the last city we were in we got to a place in the conference where we began discussing how to recognize when the enemy is talking to you and trying to get you to enter into temptation. At the very point we began this topic the electricity went out, but only in our building. There was no logical reason for it to be out except at the moment we started they discovered a sudden short went through the electrical box. We continued the meeting in the dark and prayed the Boss would allow this not to distract. Amazingly we had so many that we were able to talk with and even one young lady began weeping over her personal relationship with you know Who….

During this same conference two men got sick and so we sent some of our medical team to meet with them and they ended up leading one of the young men to JC. It was so exciting!!! When we returned to our base city we had meeting arranged with some MBB’s and were able to meet with them and continue our teaching with them, it is very exciting to be able to pour into these lives. Tonight we had one MBB brother come share with our group who is out of a very strong group in the country. He is still not public with his walk, but shared a lot with our group about the sufferings of others like him and the reality of what it means to be a c when you were born a m.

Everyone in the group is doing well. We have been so busy with teaching and meeting contacts that sleep has been some what of a hard commodity to come by. Please pray that we are able to slow things down a bit and that our team will receive some rest. The culture here often requires very late nights (Sometimes till 3 -4am) so everyone is still working hard on adjusting their systems to such late times.

Please also pray for the following:
1. Relationships that are being built that as time grows short that conversations would grow deep into spiritual things
2. As we do teaching to MBB’s & others that there would be a teachable spirit and our Boss would expand His words in their hearts.
3. As we do clinics unique doors would be opened to go beyond physical needs & emotional & spiritual needs would be treated as well.
4. We have some special meetings arranged this week with some of our MBB family, pray safety for them as they meet with us
5. We have been given two reports of some recent painful activity among our MBB family, pray our Boss would sustain them in this time of hardship.

Building Bridges

The last couple of days some very exciting things have been happening. The Servant team has had some adjustment and the two groups are becoming more one. The last two days we have been Sharing in times of going out and meeting new M friends. One group met with a M girl that had a vision this last week and was asking them to interpet it. The vision clearly gave the girls the opportunity to share their C opinion that has given them a direct bridge to share the Good News. Isn’t our Boss so good!!!

Other groups have had several “divine” encoutners with M’s that have enabled them to build some good solid relationships and beging building bridges of hope.

PRAYER
Please be in prayer for the two groups, for wisdom & dicernemnt as they continue to build bridges, but als for their M friends.

Pray the M friends would have dreams, visions, and questions that open doors for the sharing of good news. Pray that as they meet with our group that unique opportunities would arise for them to share ‘snap shots’ or nuggets of truth that will lead more conversation in a directed way.

This weekend we ask specifically for prayer in that everyone will be participating in some teaching sessions that will be intense and allow good opportunities to teach those that receive little.

Our last pray request is for those that are bound because of their new life & walk in JC. Several of our close MBB friends have had some very difficult things happen in the last two weeks that has been very discouraging and challenging to their new walks. For a couple it has meant great suffering that we are not at liberty to share at this time. Even though you do not know their names, please pray for the MBB family that is here.

Middle East Teams

Second Team Arrived!

Dear Prayer Partners,

The second Team arrived yesterday with no delays and great travel mercies. Because of Jet-lag each was taken around the city and then kept awake late to prayer strategic areas of the land around us. It was so good because it gave each member a change to taste & feel the spiritual atmosphere of the nation right away. Wile this team was PWing the Barbie Doll Team had a meeting with some young women whom they were teaching stronghold material to. It was very successful. We got a report that one MBB woman that had been attending the discipleship meetings had been very moved by the material. Her husband said she came home so different after the teaching and he wants to bring her back for me. PTL!

Starting this Friday we will be on the road visiting a friend in the North named Alex that we have arranged several meetings to continue to teach & bring discipleship to those who receive none because of the country situation. Please keep the following in Prayer:

Servant team will get over jet-lag quickly and be able to full embrace and interact with the people. We desire to begin relationship building today with this group, pray the Lord directs their steps to the right people.

The Barbie Doll team is meeting with many “M” contacts today, pray doors are opened to share the god news of JC and that solid relationships are continued to be formed

Pray for those who are receiving the Stronghold teaching. Pray the Lord awaken’s their hearts to these truths and gives them grace to overcome by the Word of God.

Pray or Team unity. Since we are merging two diverse teams this week, we pray the Lord would grant us grace to embrace one another and find ways to compliment the business of each.

Pray or the new believers or MBB;s that are receiving this discipleship, that God would use it as a means to bring the scriptures more alive to them in their Faith.

Wow. we have seen some amazing things. Everything we did the boss (God) seemed to use in every way. we were invisible the whole time. every stop the way there and back- we even had a white coat stop ( security) the white stallion ( Main officer) looked in and talked with hk and he didn’t see the barbies ( girls team) at all!

While we were at alex's house (undisclosed city) let me tell you some things going on while our teaching was happening.

- the full day we were there all the funds ( extremists) in alex(the same ones who caused trouble right before our last visit up there) held a big party to challenge the managers that our boss put in authority in this land for not being hardcore enough about their business plans in this nation. So it was a huge deal that our boss kept us hidden from this party and from the white coats who would have put extra eyes on us to keep us ok

-Some of the things we saw happen at our meetings...12 new family members on the first night--- 8 boys 4 girls!!!10 girls total- by the time we left all were apart of our family (Became Christians).

The second day we were there the 10 girls had a yarp (Prayer) and singing time till 3 am... these were high school kids!!

The leader of the company (Ministry) in this area was so encouraged by us and our groups humility that he said that our example has "changed his life". The Boss is good!

Also a leader of the company that works on a specific division for just young boys clothing was set free from a lot this week also and is being adopted by hk and his crew... this is huge because he is the only guy working in this division of the company right now for like 1700 people.

Also the teaching was very very good... we had time to talk with girls after the teaching and answer questions it was awesome time

We are back now and starting to get back to setting up business meeting swith our contacts keep yarping see you SO soon!!!

New Open Doors in Women's Ministry

We are beginning bible study and strongholds teaching to some of the most influential (leaders) women in the nation... MBB (Muslim Background Believer) Elizabeth - the only known woman mbb that is actively doing ministry in all the underground network is attending...

We have also finally finished a survey that we are beginning to utilize as we talk with women. Please pray for this project because this is going to be a huge resource for the women that continue the work among M's when we leave. It will be placed in a database to help specify how to most effectively minister to M women.

We have had several meetings with underground believers and are being blessed by their testimonies of Faith. Please pray for them. Their lives are very difficult. Brother A whom we have met before came and introduced his MBB wife, she is also helping us in the women's work. This is a huge blessing and helps with continued business when we are gone.

We have also had the chance to go to the home of the "Big Fish" whom we refer to now as the one whom is a Imam and studying at the Major Islamic University here. We are continuing to build a bridge with this family and pray that God would quicken their hearts to the Truth of JC.

Clinics & Discipleship

The last couple of days the girls have had some exciting time of meeting with women. They have had the opportunity to serve the Sudanese Refugee's again in clinic; as well as, serve the widows in the community in spiritual discipleship & meeting physcial needs. Two families they met in the clinics are below:

We met an Iraqi family that their son was wounded in the war in Iraq. We were able to serve them physcially and share with them about Christ.
Another man we met was a Sudanese brother that spent weeks being tortured in the capital of Sudan. It was amazing to serve him and share in his sufferings.

This week we are starting our discipleship class for MBB women and national Christians. We are excited to have this opportunity to serve them through the Word of God and encourage them in reaching their nation for Christ.

Please Pray:

For the Iraqi family to heal from their physical wounds, but also to embrace the Truth of JC.
For the Sudanese brother that has been tortured, pray God would grant him grace to forgive and heal from all the abuses.
Christ would bless the discipleship class and allow His Holy Spirit to teach each of us.
The Lord would continue to direct the girl's steps toward Divine Encounters throughout the country.

The girls are meeting with contacts the last few days and have had some good opportunities to share and continue building vital relationships with M's. With one group of girls they are meeting with they are beginning to go through the first of 7 prophets with them starting with Adam.

Meeting M Contacts ( Middle East Field Report)

Yesterday we had some more M training. Then we met with our M contacts 2 girls met a group of 7 Ms and me and 2 girls met with hager again.
Last night we stopped by a house of a Sudanese man who had a a stroke and was paralyzed and then was healed by prayer it was awesome!!!!
Today we will be going to the c house and then going for a long Pwalk and then tonight meet with a leader here about working with his college and young adult girls.

Please Pray:
As we meet with our M contacts that God will arrange Divine quickening in the hearts of the M's & they will be stirred to ask questions that give opportunity to share the hope of our Faith.

Christ will continue to direct our steps and move us toward Divine Encounters

Underground Believers would be protected as they work with us and that God would allow us to serve them in a significant way

Uganda Team 'Goin Round the Mountain....'

Hey everyone, we just wanted to let you know that we are doing well. We have almost all had a little stomach trouble but are doing better now. We are in karamoja, at the base place and will be going to the village tomorrow insha' allah. We will be there for a few days and then will try to check back in when we return. We are praying for all of you and hope that everything is going well.
Pray for:

A good time of fellowship with the macaronis and the new believers and leaders in the villages
Safety as we travel the mountain roads 4 hours around the mountain.
Our health in the village
That we will be a blessing to the people and join the young church inrestoring glory to God in this place.

Sudanese Refugee Clinic....

Today we had the privilege of doing a medical clinic to Sudanese Refugees and met and worked with some amazing people:

1 man from darfur who has been caught in Khartoum and tortured for 2 months and escaped to our country
1 girl 21 who had a big scar on her face and pain because a bomb hadblown up in her face her name was Sarizah she had a dream about Jesus and he told her that she would be a mother of generations that will follow Him and she became a Christian and changed her name to Sarah (like OT Sarah)
1 girl that had been shot with three bullets in Sudan and one man who had been shot in the leg in Sudan and never received medical care years after the incident
We also saw a man who last week had been at the carnival that had a stroke and was paralyzed this man they had no medicine for so they prayed for him... Today we saw him walk into the clinic like he had never been sick a day in his life!!!It was an amazing experience!!!

Tonight an MBB is coming to share his story... Pray for his/her safety as they meet with us.

Oh please pray for J & T they are about to travel to a neighboring country... They got diarrhea and vomiting it is very bad spiritual attack, please tell others to pray

Tourism turns Divine (Field Report)

Some incredble things happened today. We went on our scheduled tour and were waiting and ready for the the Lord to bring something to us- and He did!
The favor was on us big time!

We met a woman who helped give us a brief 10 min tour of the tour site we were at. hk did a snapshot( witness tool) to her and then she helped us.. After hearing HK & speding time with us she asked to meet with our team later and talk with us..---her husband works and goes to the e Islamic School in country (one of biggest in world) This was HUGE!!!

Another instance... we were going through our last checkpoint and were very very worried. we had no t.p.(tourist police) with us and hk told the car to bein praying for us... less than on minute later... a wreck happened right in front of the check point and the confusion caused us to go through with no problem!! --God is good!!!

Next we went to the famous museum, there we a girl that takes people on tours of the musem. Just happens she is getting married july 15 and she needs help with makeup and wants all our girls to go to her M (muslim) reception

Pretty awesome, hunh !!BE praying for tomorrow we are going hunting in the city. (relationship building with Muslims in an area of the city)

A city of Trash & A Widow's clinic

In the last few days our girls have had the opporunity to serve some of the least in a city of trash. Literally an entire city filled with those that collect trash as a means to live. But what is so amazing is that our girls have a unique opportunity to serve the least of the least in the city of trash: WIDOWS....

Breaking Borders has been working with a partner ministry in doing widows clinics in the most poverty stricken areas of North Africa/Middle East. This weeks our girls got the chance to serve and share Christ among these women.

Please pray that God would continue to help the girls to adjust as they get their feet wet in a new culture & way of life
Pray the Lord will give them divine encounters with women specifically muslim women
Pray the Lord would meet the needs of the widows & use the words spoken to them from the girls for His glory

Just wanted to let you all know one of the guys called me this afternoon to let me know they had made it back from the hikes. He said it was very intense hiking, but that everyone did awesome. Everyone is well & doing great, just a little sore from all the hiking. He said they were able to share with “N’s” Muslim family ( could not give details over the phone) but that it went really really well. He also said they distributed so many CD’s it was unbelievable! He said that was one of the most incredible parts because they were taken into villages that there was no known missionary contact before. PTL!

He sounded great and said tomorrow they will do another 1 hour hike and then the following day head to the city, for some light tourism & drops. Please remember to keep them in prayers. I am sure they are going to have some incredible stories to share when they return home!

PRAYER:
Continued Strngth & Perseverance to complete the mission
God would continue to grant them favor as they talk with nationals
More opportunities would be granted for them to distribute materials
They might be an encouragement to those in the underground church

AN MBB VILLAGE

Got a call just a few moments ago from the Missionary that the guys are working with. She said they called from the mountain (Found a land line phone) Anyhow they just completed a 15 hour hike & are all doing well. They are beginning another 5 hour hike tomorrow morning. Please keep them in prayer. They have been able to distribute tons of CD’s with the Jesus story on them. Praise God! All are healthy and excited about all the Lord is doing.
PRAYER:
Lets keep praying that the Lord would continue to give them strength & stamina for the remainder of the villages they are to enter.

May the Lord continue to give them favor & order their steps.

Tomorrow they will be hiking to a village of the MBB (Muslim Background Believer) Named “N” That is with them. They are hoping to share the gospel to his family, especially to his grandfather who is very influential in the village. May the Spirit of the Lord go before them & quicken hearts to Himself!

5 Day Journey

Got a call this morning from one of our Team Leader informing me that they were going to start a 5 day journey into the mountains and would not be in contact with our home office till they return. They will be headed into some areas on the mountain that have never had a missionary presence or heard the Good News.

The team is healthy and doing well.

But please join us in prayer for the following days:
1. The Lord would give them Stamina & perseverance physically, emotionally, & spiritually to withstand the hard journey ahead of them.

2. God would grant them favor as they enter a village and direct them to the local men of influence.

3. The Lord would grant them favor & opportunity to share the gospel message.

4, God would cover them with His wings of protection & give their bodies wellness as they continue to adjust to new foods & culture.

5, Our Lord might receive Great Glory from their obedience and the peoples on the mountain may give Him the Praise He deserves!

The Radical Nature of THE CALL...

My name is JCN, and I am the President of Breaking Borders. I would like to take a few moments and share with you my heart for using medicine in North Africa & the Middle East to reach Muslims.

When Breaking Broders was formed it was with with four purposes in mind.
Breaking Borders exists to Glorify God through:

1. Mobilizing God-Centered believers into restricted and un-reached areas of the world to share the gospel of Jesus Christ

2. Raising awareness of Christian persecution and the lack of Christian witness among un-reached people groups in restricted nations

3. Educating the local church in Islam, and training the body of Christ to reach Muslims in the USA and abroad

4. Utilizing medicine and medical aid as a bridge to bring the to gospel of Jesus Christ to people in restricted nations

I would like to expand on the final purpose, concerning medical aid & care. In my years of medical training, I have had the privilege to participate in numerous medical missions across the globe. There are a few things I have noticed in my participation—

The Great Need
There is an authentic need in the Body of Christ today for radicalized, passionate medical missionaries who aren’t afraid to go to the hard places in the world to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, claim Him as King, and give God the Glory He deserves through compassionate medical care.

“Medical Missions does not equal humanitarian aid”
Sometimes this is a means to an end, but not the end itself! (which some have made it) Humanitarian aid lasts a short time, less than the life of the person involved, while the gospel is eternal.
Medical Missions devoid of Jesus Christ is just humanitarian aid!
I believe the most natural thing for the born again child of God to do is to tell about the things of God.

The problem
· Some that claim the title of medical missionary are not converted themselves
· Some are converted, but have not been spiritually fed or matured in their faith
· Some are filled with fear and are unwilling to be obedient
The real question ,“Are you willing to give up medicine for Jesus Christ?’ —meaning if He asks you to do anything for Him would you be willing? If He asks you to dig ditches in the Sudan for His Glory would you be obedient to this call? Is there some pride in being a physician that keeps you from being obedient to Jesus?

Radical nature of the call
One of the most important roles of the medical missionary is being an ambassador of Jesus Christ, to proclaim that ‘the world is bound in sin, but the Savior has come!’ Jesus Christ is a stumbling block to most of the world! All who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus shall be persecuted!
Suffering is a prerequisite of obedience, not an option!
2 timothy 3:12;1 Peter 4:12-19
God is looking for modern day martyr potentials .
You are called to be a martyr potential, so give Christ the glory in your life and in your death!

Let me close with an excerpt from the testimony of John G. Patton who was called to the foreign soil as a missionary, who sought to please God and not man:

‘Amongst many who sought to deter me, was one dear old Christian gentleman, whose crowning argument always was,

"The cannibals! You will be eaten by cannibals!"

At last I replied, "Mr. Dickson, you are advanced in years now, and your own prospect is soon to be laid in the grave, there to be eaten by worms, I confess to you, that if I can but live and die serving and honoring the Lord Jesus, it will make no difference to me whether I am eaten by cannibals or by worms; and in the Great Day my resurrection body will arise as fair as yours in the likeness of our risen Redeemer."‘

3 men charged with planning terror attack against Swedish church

STOCKHOLM, Sweden

Prosecutors on Wednesday charged three men under Sweden's anti-terror laws for a botched firebombing targeting Iraqi expatriate voters and for allegedly planning another attack against an Israel-friendly Christian congregation.
The men, ages 25, 22 and 19, were arrested a month after the Dec. 15 attack on a polling station where Iraqis were voting in Kista, just north of Stockholm. The 25-year-old has since been released.

Prosecutors say the 22-year-old hurled molotov cocktails at the polling station, but they did not catch fire. The 25-year-old allegedly took part in preparing the attack by distributing a news release describing it.

The three suspects, who lived in separate parts of Sweden, had been in contact via Internet chat rooms, where they discussed another attack, prosecutors said in the charges.

Investigators searching the suspects' homes found photographs of the Word of Life Church in Uppsala, north of Stockholm. They also found a video with instructions on how to make explosives, and a film in which the 19-year-old expressed sympathy for Islamic holy war and "warned the European people," the charges said.

Magnus Dahlberg, a spokesman for the Word of Life Church, said they were notified of the planned attack by security police last month.

"We were told the motive was that we support Israel and have been visited by Israel's ambassador," Dahlberg said.

The church is charismatic, and considered a fundamentalist congregation in Sweden. It counts about 3,000 members.

The 19-year-old denies the terror allegations, his defense lawyer, Mikael Nilsson said, adding that the charges against his client were vague. The charges said he was planning an attack with the other two suspects, but did not specify whether it was against the church.

The teenager admits to recording the video with a warning to Europeans, but says it was not meant to be taken seriously, Nilsson said.

"It has no basis in reality," Nilsson added.

The defense lawyers for the other two suspects were not immediately available for comment

KNIFE ATTACKS ON EGYPT CHRCHES

Unfortunately this is not an uncommon report to receive from this region of the world. Please pray for our family that God would grant them a spirit of forgiveness and mercy toward their oppressors. Knife attacks on Egypt churches
One person has been killed and at least 12 others injured by knife-wielding attackers at three churches in northern Egypt, police have said.
The attacks happened in Coptic churches in the city of Alexandria.
The simultaneous incidents took place during Friday Mass, and the attackers fled immediately afterwards.

Witnesses said clashes erupted between Christians and Muslims outside the churches, the Associated Press news agency reported.
Hundreds of Christians had gathered outside the churches in protest at the attacks, the agency said.

Police were reported to be searching for three assailants, one for each attack.
Witnesses said that at least one attacker had been detained, but no arrests have been confirmed.

An employee at one of the churches told the AFP news agency that people inside the church had fought back with sticks, but that the attacker had tried to escape through an underground passage.

Tensions
Most Christians in Egypt are Copts - Christians descended from the ancient Egyptians.
Their church split from the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches in 451AD because of a theological dispute over the nature of Christ, but is now, on most issues, doctrinally similar to the Eastern Orthodox church.

Copts make up an estimated 10% of the Egyptian population of about 70 million, and they complain of discrimination and harassment.
They are concerned that new electoral rules are benefiting Islamist parties but not increasing Coptic political representation.

Three people died in Alexandria in October 2005 after Muslim demonstrators attacked a church which had put on a play seen as offensive to Islam.

Afghanistan:
PRAISE Report! Abdul Rahman’s case has been dismissed and he has been released from prison! Abdul, who was turned into police by relatives for converting to Christianity from Islam, could have been sentenced to death under Afghan law. The courts announced that the case was dismissed on legal grounds (poor evidence and loop holes in the case), but it was most likely the world-wide attention on this case that caused the courts to back down. Please continue to keep Abdul in prayer as he is still in danger from Islamic fundamentalists for being an “apostate.” PRAISE God for the worldwide attention to this case and the awareness it has raised relative to the persecution of Christians. PRAY that this press coverage will become the norm rather than the exception on matters of persecution.

Help Save The Life Of An Afghan Man Who Refuses To Deny Christ

Abdul Rahman, 41, faces death because he converted from Islam to Christianity and refuses to convert back to Islam. His family accused him of being a Christian. Religion Evangelical missionaries in Morocco back in the limelight

The Marrakech police department has recently seized documents which confirm the existence of a secret evangelical group in the southern city, who has been trying to convert many Moroccans to Christianity, reported last week the Moroccan daily al-Ittihad al-Ichtiraki.

The documents which were seized in an apartment of an alleged foreign missionary, who suddenly disappeared, also revealed the existence of secret spiritual schools to teach Moroccans the concepts of Christianity. According to the documents, the schools are concentrated in specific neighborhoods in the centre of Marrakech, mainly in Guéliz, and al-Inara. Residents of the building, where the alleged missionary was living, in Yacoub al-Mansour neighbourhood, said that he disappeared immediately after finding out that two security agents were coming to interview him.According to al-Ittihad al-Ichtiraki, residents of the building said that the missionary used to receive a number of Moroccans regularly in his apartment where he lived with his wife and two daughters.

Spiritual schools in Marrakech!The newspaper said that these meeting might be related to the council of Evangelical groups in Marrakech.Among the documents found, was a constitution of the city council of the Evangelical groups, which included the creation goals of the council, its principles, and the conditions of the membership, written in both Arabic and French. The documents also included application forms to a school of spiritual teaching, along with letters from other foreigners in charge of supervising the missionary operation in Marrakech.Beside this, a list of secret spiritual places and the names of Moroccans who are running them was also discovered. Information magazines about a satellite channel designed for MENA Christians (SAT 7) are also among the seized documents.The council of the Evangelical groups aims at opening dialogue with similar groups that exist in the city for consulting, problem solving and group praying for the city, said al-Ittihad al-Ichtiraki.The paper reported that the meetings of this council are usually held once a fortnight in the house of one of the members as a temporary address. The school's application forms indicated that the education tuition fees are MAD 500, and included detailed information on the student's social background along with the date of his conversion to Christianity and the local church he/she goes to. The missionary's personal documents, left in his apartment, showed he was taking Darija courses in one of the language centres in Moulay Abdullah Boulevard. “This information only indicates that the evangelical group movement is spreading in Morocco and is highly organized,” stressed the paper.Pastor accused of proselytizing expelled from Morocco last year The debate on Moroccan Christians reached its peak last year when the Moroccan authorities deported a South African pastor, and interrogated a few prominent local believers.Pastor Deon Malan left Morocco in March 2005 after a 5 day notice from the Moroccan authorities. Malan was accused of proselytizing.Six students at the Mohamed V high school in Marrakech resorted to the pastor for explanation about some concepts in the bible for their school presentation on the religions of the book.However, suspicion fell on the Marrakech-based pastor after the Moroccan daily Attajdid accused him of trying to convert these students to Christianity. This was not the first time Attajdid's articles have stirred up such a controversy. In 2003, shortly before the Casablanca attacks, a group of hard rockers were thrown into prison following an article accusing them of being Satanists. Last year, another article from the same newspaper triggered a wave of protests by claiming that the tsunami in Asia was divine punishment.After the Attajdid article, a special reportage by the Moroccan weekly Le Journal Hebdomadaire, published last March, revealed the existence of a number of “clandestine” protestant missionaries on a converting mission to Morocco, triggering a wave of similar articles in the Moroccan press.

Moroccan media criticized by the Evangelical Church of Morocco Jean-Luc Blanc, pastor of the Evangelical Church of Morocco, criticised the media's handling of the issue of conversions to Protestantism in an article published last March in the Moroccan daily Le Matin du Sahara et du Maghreb. The pastor accused the press of making “amalgams between the US foreign policy and the Protestant Church,” and “amplifying real but insignificant phenomena.”He added that the main role of the Church in Morocco is to help the Protestant Christians living in Morocco, among them many Sub Saharans studying in the Kingdom.Blanc also criticised “a rumour quickly exploited by the media, which stated that massive numbers of Moroccans converted to Christianity under the influence of Anglo-Saxon, protestant missionaries.”The cover story of Le Journal Hebdomadaire on Moroccan Christians described an active conversion campaign led by Protestant missionaries – many of them from the US - who went as far as distributing “conversion kits” to Moroccans living abroad on the way back to Morocco for the holidays.The article also explained that these missionaries were backed by powerful messianic churches belonging to the American Bible Belt, close to George W. Bush. In May, a Rock'n'Roll festival was held in Marrakech despite controversy. The festival raised fears among Morocco's Muslims and Christians alike that it would be a proselytizing campaign under the rock-and-roll culture. Christians and Muslims warned that “the festival is a pretext by the American Evangelical Church to get a foothold in Morocco.” However, the fears were denied by Moroccan officials.Moroccan newspapers released different figures of Moroccan Muslims who converted to Protestantism. Proselytizing illegal in Morocco Proselytizing is forbidden in Morocco. Any attempt to induce a Muslim to convert is illegal. According to Article 220 of the Moroccan Penal Code, any attempt to stop one or more persons from the exercise of their religious beliefs or from attendance at religious services is unlawful and may be punished by 3-6 months' imprisonment and a fine of $10 to $50 (115 to 575 dirhams). The article applies the same penalty to "anyone who employs incitements to shake the faith of a Muslim or to convert him to another religion." Foreign missionaries either limit their proselytizing to non-Muslims or conduct their work quietly. The Government has cited the prohibition on conversion in the penal code in most cases in which courts expelled foreign missionaries. According to the International Religious Freedom report, authorities detained in May and expelled seven foreign missionaries, including four Americans, for distributing Christian materials in Marrakech's main square. Some missionaries have been questioned by authorities or have not been granted a "temporary residence permit" enabling them to remain in the country on a long-term basis. Moroccan Christians pray clandestinelyThe subject of Moroccan Christians is still stirring controversy. More recently, the Moroccan daily, Maroc Soir, published an article titled “Moroccan Christians pray clandestinely”. The said article, which was published during the Christmas celebration, discussed the issue of Moroccans converting to Christianity and cited examples of some Moroccans who attended the Christmas service. The article also cited examples of Moroccans who talked about their new life as Christians and how they came to be so.Moroccan citizens who convert to Christianity and other religions generally face social ostracism, and a small number of converts have faced short periods of questioning or detention by authorities for proselytizing. Jean-Luc Blanc, pastor of the Evangelical Church of Morocco told Maroc Soir that the estimated 800 Moroccan Christians are mainly Protestant, representing 0,0025% of the population. He added that they don't usually attend the church because they fear to be harassed by the authorities. The Gospel according to Luke is the first part of a two-volume work that continues the biblical history of God's dealings with humanity found in the Old Testament, showing how God's promises to Israel have been fulfilled in Jesus and how the salvation promised to Israel and accomplished by Jesus has been extended to the Gentiles.These new Moroccan converts, aged between 18 and 34, are very discrete. They don't usually go to the church for fear of stigmatization. They prefer to practice in their homes silently.Jean-Luc Blanc told the daily that most of them converted during their stay in Europe or the US. These Moroccans who left Islam for Christianity refuse to accept the idea of being apostates and affirm having discovered a new faith.The translation of the bible into Darija only proves that the phenomenon is growing in Morocco.

Eight hurt in Egypt clash

Eight Egyptians have been injured in clashes between Muslims and Coptic Christians in a village south of Cairo. Police said that the violence erupted in the village of Al-Ayat, around 24 km south of the capital. It reportedly followed Muslim anger over the construction of a community centre by the local Christian minority. Muslim residents accused the Christians of seeking to turn the centre into a church.Five Muslims and three Christians were wounded in the fighting, but none were believed to be in a serious condition.

Egypt's Christians, who account for around a 10th of the population, need authorisations to build churches, while the construction of mosques is virtually unrestricted. Sectarian tensions have been on the rise in recent months.On Saturday witnesses said clashes also broke out in a village near the southern Egyptian town of Bani Mazar after Muslims accused Christians of burning copies of the Quran, Islam's holy book.

Church controversy

One Christian was killed and several other people wounded in violence that broke out in the southern Nile city of Luxor when Muslims protested that Christians were building a church without authorisation. Incidents also took place late last year in the Nile Delta and in Alexandria in the north of the country. Following the Islamist opposition's strong showing in the November-December parliamentary polls, the government announced measures to ease restrictions on church-building. The move was interpreted as an attempt to allay Christian fears of a further Islamisation of society but the Christian community has since complained that the new decree was not being implemented.

Bible Smuggling for Jesus (Names have been changed for security reasons)

Sometimes in life God gives us rare moments to take extreme risks for His Great Name. It was last summer that Chris and I were headed to the UAE for a meeting with Christian hospital directors inquiring about future ministry opportunities. We were thrilled at the thought of entering this nation and simply being able to step foot on desert soil and pray for the Rain of His glory . In the process of us planning our trip we were looking for airline tickets to go from Egypt to the UAE. In our search we found a route that would take us through Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Now if you don’t know us well, it is important for me to let you know that Saudi Arabia is the nation God has laid most on our hearts. It is our desire in the future to live in this nation full time, so the very chance of having a small layover in the Riyadh airport was huge! It took us about 30 seconds to pray if we were supposed to take this route, when we already knew, this was it! We purchased the tickets and readied ourselves to enter the Mecca of Islam. Covered in prayer and swelled with extreme excitement, we started our journey. Given the fact we were coming from Egypt, we decided to line our carry-on bags with Arabic Bibles. An Arabic Bible in Saudi Arabia is unheard of. It is illegal to distribute, to talk about or even profess Christianity. If caught distributing Bibles the Mattawa (Religious Police) could flog you, imprison you and deport you.

No matter what the consequences were; we knew, this is why God ordained this leg of the flight..

Arriving in Riyadh, a security guard met us as we departed from the plane. He took us straight to customs to search us and our bags. I don’t think I have ever been so scared in all my life, but the rush of walking in faith is bigger than you, well you know—There is nothing like it!

I went to the ladies quarters and Chris to the men's. They searched our bodies then took us to search our bags. When the officer opened the bag, we saw one of the Arabic Bibles starting to slide out of the side pocket. Time stopped! Chris & I looked at each other, then at the officer and again at the Bible.

All we could do was Pray!

Then all of a sudden, the officer slammed the bag shut and said, “Get out of here!” We knew then that God had blinded his eyes. It was a miracle! We proceeded and then distributed the Bibles all over the airport. We may never know what happened to the Bibles we left behind, but we pray God has used them for His glory! BB Missionary

A priest was shot dead in the Black Sea port of TrabzonAn Italian Catholic priest has been shot dead outside his church in north-east Turkey. Police in the Black Sea port of Trabzon said they were searching for a teenage boy seen fleeing from the scene of the attack on Sunday. It was unclear if the shooting was connected to widespread Muslim outrage over cartoons of the rophet Muhammad. Turkish broadcaster NTV identified the priest as Andrea Santore and said he died from a single shot to the chest.

Turkey has seen regular protests in recent days over the Danish caricatures of Muhammad.Leaders of the overwhelmingly Muslim country have condemned the pictures, but have also called for calm. The Istanbul-based Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is the spiritual head of the world's Orthodox Christians, and other non-Muslim clerics in Turkey have also criticised the images. Several Italian newspapers have reprinted the pictures, saying they are defending freedom of expression.

Churches targeted in Iraq blasts
Car bombs have exploded outside the Vatican embassy and near four churches in Iraq, killing at least three people. The apparently co-ordinated attacks took place within 20 minutes of each other, Iraqi police said. Three of the bombs went off in the capital Baghdad, while a further two were detonated in the northern oil city of Kirkuk. All the fatalities reported were in Kirkuk, while at least nine people were wounded in the blasts.

'Co-ordinated spree'
In Kirkuk, three civilians were killed and one wounded in the attack on the Church of the Virgin, and six civilians were hurt in the blast outside an Orthodox church. Both explosives-packed vehicles were detonated by remote control, according to a police spokesman. In Baghdad, car bombs exploded outside St Joseph's Catholic church in the suburb of Sina'a and an Anglican church in the eastern Nidhal area. There were no casualties reported in the attack on the Vatican embassy building in the east of the city. Earlier on Sunday, at least 10 people were killed in a bomb attack outside a shop in a town south of Baghdad. The blast occurred in Iskandariya, a predominantly Shia town about 40 km (25 miles) from the capital.

Christian targets
Churches in Iraq have been the target of previous bombings.
In August 2004, at least 12 people were killed and dozens injured in a spate of bombings in Baghdad and Mosul. It was the first significant strike against Iraq's estimated 800,000 Christians since the US invasion began in 2003. Christians make up just 3% of Iraq's 26 million people.

Egyptian church clash injures 12

At least 12 people were injured in clashes in Upper Egypt when a group of Muslims attempted to stop Christians converting a house into a church.

Security officials said the Muslims set fire to building materials for the building in Odaysat, near Luxor. Several members of both communities were reported injured in the subsequent clashes, as well as two policemen.

It is the latest in a series of violent sectarian incidents in Egypt in the past few months.
A security source quoted by Reuters said the Christians did not have official permission to build the church.

Police arrested 10 young men and the owners of the house, reports say. Correspondents say curbs on building churches have been one of the main grievances among Copts, although these restrictions have been eased recently by presidential decree. The Coptic Christian community is believed to make up 10% percent of Egypt's population of about 70 million.

BB Missionary News from the "Restricted field"

Walking in the street a Muslim man who we will call FM stopped HK and began talking with him about a Christian satellite channel that is broadcasted in the country. As he was walking by HK he thought he looked familiar but wasn’t sure. He asked HK if he was on one of the shows and described the one he was thinking of. It was HK that he had seen, HK talked to him for a little while and encouraged him to see more of these shows in the Christian Satellite. HK left him on his way praying God would use these stations more and more.

Half an hour later the gate keeper of our building asked HK about this man and told him that he is asking for someone to pray for him. As HK spent a little time with him he explained he was having lots of trouble with his business, health, engagement, and social life. He started to have lots of unexplainable dreams since the beginning of the month of Ramadan, which kept him awake the whole night for many days. He has seen many doctors for many health issues many which cannot happen in a thirty year old man. He has also sought the advice of experts in witch craft trying many ways to find comfort in his situation but never finding it.

HK talked to him about the medical background of his health issues and promised he would try to help him. While talking about the psychological and spiritual side of his troubles he invited the man to say a few words of prayer asking the almighty God to intervene for him. As soon as HK began to pray with the man he fell down, moaning and his body convulsing. Realizing that this man could be demon possessed HK continued to pray for him and asked the gate keeper to go and bring TJ to pray with him. HK and TJ were sitting on each side of the man when they both began to pray for him he again fell back moaning and making many sporadic movements. While praying for this young man his body responded to the prayers. At first he was moving in a strong and violent way, his eyes were tightly shut and he was gripping his chest and clinching his teeth. HK and TJ began praying the truth of God’s word and the man began to relax. Finally laying on his back, the man began to cry, then he relaxed his grip and opened his arms and pointed upward using both index fingers. He then began to move his hands in a peculiar way; he started to wipe his eyes, his face, and his chest, and then his whole entire body and then he opened his eyes.

Afterward he shared what was happening. He said that he was aware of everything, he said he knew what was happening but was helpless to do anything. He said he could feel his body moving and he could hear HK and TJ talking. He said finally he saw a vision; he saw a heavenly creature with light all around him, and two soldiers were standing with weapons on each side of him. In the vision, he saw himself falling into a deep pit. The two soldiers then dropped a rope to help him out. He caught the rope, and the two soldiers began to pull him up. At this moment in the vision, he said he felt a huge amount of fluid dropping on him, as he looked around he discovered it was blood. He said he then started to use the blood to wipe his eyes, his heart, and his whole entire body. After this he opened his eyes and sat up. Isn’t that amazing! Praise Him for our God reigns.

The time this young man started to see the dreams was the beginning of Ramadan which was the same time many of you received the Prayer Calendar asking you to pray for Muslims that God will show Himself to them in dreams and visions. This story of FM is one of the answers to our prayers. Prayer will never be in vain. We have been receiving many reports from all over the Middle East saying the same exact thing; Jesus is not retreating and He is still working among Muslims. We ask you to pray for this man, FM, that God will continue working on his heart. Pray for HK and TJ to have wisdom discipling him and boldly delivering the truth of the Gospel to him. Continue to also pray for others who God will reveal himself to.

Update # 7: October Mission to restricted Acess Nation

The last week has been intense! But to God be the glory--we are now safe and sound back home, but we would like to update you on what has taken place the last week in the South. It was incredible! Time was short but the labor was intense. From sun up to sun down our small team joined with nationals tackled each day with lots of prayer and God given faith. The atmosphere was thick because of Ramadan and the acceptance of Americans was not common. But when we greeted our brothers and sisters there with compassionate hearts and medical clinics we began to see entire villages come for medical care. It was amazing! We can only estimate how many people we were able to see through the clinics, but to the best of our estimations it was around 400+ peoples. We would go till 2-3am in the morning and then start back up in another village only after hours of sleep. Patients ranged from simple illnesses to malaria, typhoid, and rare African known diseases. But God was so good in allowing us to see both Christian and Muslim patients. We depended mostly on the local church we were working with to share in the local language the gospel message of Christ, but with our actions we deeply tried to show the true love and grace of Christ. We prayed over many patients and asked the King of all Kings to move beyond what our feeble clinic could offer, He was faithful!
Our words of encouragement this week came from the pastor we were working along side. Pastor A is an MBB (Muslims Background Believer) and was kicked out of his village & family after accepting Christ as Lord. All week He told us, " When God says "Yes!" no man can say,"No", and when God says, "No!" no man can say, "Yes"! It is true! God always has the final word, and we know what it is---To God be the glory!

HALAS! (It is finished in Arabic!) Today we saw a miracle like never before! We talked with our contact in the South yesterday and for all practical purposes the visas for the South were going to be delayed for so long that it looked like a grim chance we would enter the country this trip. So last night we spent some good time in prayer just asking for direction. After prayer we knew that if we were to stay in the country we had to find a way to get to the city where the "Big Headaches" had taken place and offer some comfort to our family. In a matter of hours doors opened up for us to travel tomorrow morning to encourage our brothers and sisters who are hurting so much right now. This was the first miracle.

Then early this morning we went to the South Embassy to seek one more time for approval into the country.. One of our team members received the acceptance but everyone else was still not cleared. We left for about 20 minutes when I received a call that our visas were just confirmed 'sent' from the South and we were to immediately head to the Embassy. Because this is the month of fasting everything closes by 2pm and everyone is in a hurry to leave so really everything stops functioning by 1pm. It was already 1:30pm. We ran as fast as we could and got to the Embassy to just be told, " You will have to come back tomorrow!" But, in faith and desperation we continued to stand there unable to move. Then a man we had found favor with a few days earlier appears and says he will check one last time for our approval. Like waiting for a cup of water in a scorching desert we stood there stilled in prayer and anticipation. Then it happened! This man come back and says approval for the remainder of the team has arrived but we must wait for tomorrow to process. Immedialty we graciously pleaded - " Is there any way?" Then the man took our papers and after about 10 minutes came back and took our passports and began processing our visas.! PTL!!!

This man from God had gone back and convinced all his M workers to stay long enough to give us our visas! The Embassy was officially closed and we were in the inner offices being processed to go South! These men stayed late during the month of fasting which does not happen. They have not eaten or drank water all day and somehow ---(GOD!)-- moved them to grant us permission to go South! IT was incredible! Your prayers have been heard and God has granted favor--Thank you for keep this so close to your heart and allowing God to use you in this way!

We now know why we have been delayed. Tomorrow we will travel north and encourage our suffering family and exchange business with them in this time of great need. --Then we will be traveling South for a time of business like we have never experienced before!!!!
Thank you for all your prayers! Please continue to pray for favor and open doors. That our steps would be ordered and not a moment wasted for His Name Sake. May He be glorified!

Yesterday went incredible! We traveled by train to the North and met with our brothers and sisters. It was a great time of sharing and encouragement for us all. Many of them are so tight and shaken from the pressures around them right now that many are not even wanting to go outside. Please pray for our family here. There is rumor on the street that after Friday prayers that more activities will happen to our family. They all want to respond right and be salt and light in the midst of such hard times, but sometimes the grip of pressure makes them hesitant to respond at all. They need you to stand with them and take their need to the Father.
This update will be the last for a while. We head out today for the South and will not have access to internet to keep everyone informed of what is happening. So I would like to ask for some specific prayers now --in case we are not able to communicate until we are home.
Please pray for the following:
Favor through customs
Open doors for business opportunities
Compassionate hearts and healing hands as we set up medical clinics to serve the people
Hearts to be transformed and quickened to what is true
Our mouths to be filled with Words of life & our steps to be ordered
The bondage of what oppresses this nation to be broken
Mostly- May our God be glorified!

Today our small group went to a place called Trash city and performed medical clinics for some of the poorest peoples in this nation. While there we were also able to share about the 'business' and pray for peoples needs. It was an exciting time for us all. We would like to continue to ask for prayer concerning visas and travel for the upcoming days. We would also like to ask for your prayer and thoughts for our local family here in this region. In the last few days there have been some serious migraines given to some of our friends and it has been so bad that a few have actually lost their lives in the process. Please pray for peace and for our Boss to comfort those who are having bad headaches at this time.

Today was a very exciting day! We went early this morning and processed visas for one country but not the country we intended. But all was for a strategy to get access to the South country we are heading to in just less than two days. Please everyone keep this visa issue in your prayers. In just a couple of days we will be flying South without real assurance if we will gain entry or not. It is all up to our Father at this point.

But, I have another prayer concern. Tonight as we were traveling in town all of a not small number were in a micro van and going fast in the highway our tire came completely off. This van is vital to the business in this area. We had so much favor in this moment when the tire came rolling off. HK drove so carefully and we were able to get to the side of the highway without any accident with another car. We know this was only because so many of you are covering us in prayer. But because of this incident transportation is hindered. Please pray for resources and transportation for our dear family here. We will keep you all posted as things progress, but we know our Father is directing our steps and giving us many divine moments with those around us....

Well we have all arrived safe and sound recouping from jet lag. We would like to ask for some specific prayer for the next 2 days. We are still in the process of obtaining our visas for the South and there have been some complications. We went to the Embassy early this morning and after a few hours of talking and calling and talking and calling again, we got significant information, but are still in a waiting process. Please pray for Divine direction. Pray for favor with officials as we try to process our paperwork. Pray also for wisdom as we talk and interact with those that are helping us in this process.

The team should be leaving out in just a few short days. Please keep each team member in prayer as we travel. Right now we are in the middle of Ramadan and often tolerance levels are short for those we will be interacting with because of fasting. We got word yesterday that there have been some changes in our visa situation for one the nations we are trying to access. Please pray God's favor (inshallah) for these visas to be processed. If not, we are confident, that the One that has sent us on this journey will be faithful to move us toward His divine appointments.
